Luella C. "Darby" Wenger

WENGER, Luella Catherine (Darby) Darbyshire 95, of Largo, FL, has passed on, March 12, 2013. Born March 19, 1917 in Bellbrook, OH, she was an amazingly gentle, kind and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved nurturing her African violets, orchids and potted plants on her patio. She also enjoyed reading and excelled at bingo and shuffleboard. For many years she provided daycare to children in her home, serving them and her community. She was married to Emmert Harold Wenger on August 1, 1936. They traveled the world together while married for 72 years before he preceded her in death in 2008. She is survived by three children: Ronald H. Wenger, of Newark, Delaware; Deanna K. Davis of Largo, Florida and Paula J. Linehan of Dublin, Ohio, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 22, 10-11:30am, at Rogers Funeral Home in Trotwood, OH. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11:30.
