Lynne C. Munson

MUNSON, Lynne Carol Aged 82, of New Lebanon, Ohio, went to be with her Lord January 21, 2018. Lynne was born to Willard and Helen Hickok in Montclair, New Jersey on February 1, 1935. As a small child, her family moved to Louisville, KY where she grew up until attending DePauw University and the University of Kentucky. She married and moved to New Lebanon, Ohio, where she lived the remainder of her life. Lynne was a very artistic, creative, and hard-working business woman who operated Munson Floral Company and Greenhouses in New Lebanon for over 30 years . As a florist, she was a very talented floral designer and enjoyed having the opportunity to have her children involved and working with her in the family business. Her love for plants and floral design continued after retirement as her greatest joys in life were gardening, landscaping, and decorating her home. She also had a great sense of humor and was young at heart. Lynne was a devout Christian who enjoyed studying the Bible and learning about her Lord and Saviour. It was her deep faith in Jesus Christ that guided and strengthened her throughout her journey in life. Two of her favorite verses were Psalm 17:8, “Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings.” and Isaiah 40:11, “He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.” Lynne was a loving mother to six children, eighteen grandchildren, and twenty-six great-grandchildren. Lynne is survived by her two sisters, Lois Allen and Tamara (Henry) Dimmitt of Louisville, KY; six children, Laura (Phil) Salerni of Charleston, SC, Dr. Jennifer Munson (Gene) Lett of Cincinnati, OH, Carla (Ron) Sparks of Greensboro,NC, Carolee (Douglas) Schwaderer of Tenerife, Canary Islands, Erik Sumner (Ivy) Munson of Clayton, OH, and Ture Munson (fiancé Janie Garza) of Brookville, OH. The family wishes to thank Connie Neff, our mother’s dear friend, who so lovingly encouraged and ministered to Lynne in the past few years. There will be a private graveside service for immediate family at Trissel Cemetery in New Lebanon, Ohio.
