Macio Antonio "Tony" Harrington

Macio Antonio (Tony) Harrington, age 72, of Columbus Ohio, departed this life unexpectedly at his home on December 24, 2020. A native of Lexington, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Macio A. Harrington and Carolyn J. Harrington. He was predeceased by a sister, Siddiqa (Janie) Armstrong and is survived by another sister, Malika Harrington of Lexington, KY; three children: Keith Dewalt of Louisville, KY, Jaysumma Old of San Diego, CA, and Hannah Dexter of Portland, ME; five grandchildren; two nieces: Sidiyyah Gentry of Lexington, KY and Shereem Armstrong of Detroit, MI; one nephew, Namir Armstrong of Detroit, MI and a host of cousins and other loved ones. He was educated at Bryan Station High School in Lexington, KY, Eastern Kentucky University and Vorhees College in Denmark, SC. As a youth, Tony enjoyed several hobbies among which were music and fashion modeling. His love for music prevailed and as a talented and gifted musician, Tony traveled the around the world performing with a host of bands to diverse audiences. After years of travel, Tony found his niche among the communities in Columbus, OH where he established himself among the music aficionados of the area. We, the family, wish to thank everyone for all acts of kindness, sympathy and warm consolation we have received, since the loss of our loved one.
