Marcellain Y. Boyer

Marcellain “Marcy” Y. Boyer (Eby) passed peacefully on January 16, 2026 after a long and joyful life of 93 years. Marcy was born in Dayton, Ohio on May 16, 1932 to Jacob E. And Juanita C. (Sears) Eby.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jacob Eugene “Gene” Eby, her mother Juanita (Sears) Focht, and her step-father Irvin Focht. Her loving husband Ralph E. Boyer, daughter Kenda S. (Steve) Jones, brother James E. “Junior” (Deanna) Eby and step-sister Sharon Barnett.

Marcy is survived by her daughter Tamara J. (Randy) Rehmert, grandchildren, Chad (Jamie) Rehmert, Kerri (Brandon) Crum, Casey (Ryan) Clark, Marcus (Adina) Jones, and nine great grandchildren. Her sister Delores “Dee Dee” (Harold) Moses, step-sister, Suzanne (Tom) Russell, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Marcy dedicated her life to teaching grade school children for over 30 years. After retirement she spent her time traveling the country with the love of her life Ralph and tending to the beautiful flowers and garden around their home. She loved to read, craft, homestead and spend time with her loved ones. Her family was a joy to her and it was nothing for her to pick up and drive wherever they were, even at 90 years old.

Marcy will be dearly missed and remembered by everyone that knew her.

A visitation will be held from 10-11am with a Memorial service to begin at 11:00am on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Slifer's Presbyterian Church.
