Margaret M. Heck

January 5, 1922 — July 16, 2011

HECK, Margaret M. age 89 of New Lebanon, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday July 16, 2011 at peacefully at her home. She was born January 5, 1922 in Montgomery County and later worked at McCory’s Drugstore in downtown Dayton prior to getting married. Margaret was a phenomenal homemaker, enjoyed traveling to various sites around the country, was an avid bowler and truly enjoyed attending the New Lebanon United Methodist Church. She watched the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals games every chance that she got. Preceded in death by her husband Melvin E. in 1998, her father Earl Helmer in 1948 and her dear mother Ada Mae Helmer in 1985. Margaret is survived by her daughters Pamela Rae Susong and Melva Kay (Joe) King; 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. A celebration of Margaret’s life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at the ROGERS’ FUNERAL HOME, New Lebanon with Rev. Gary Woods officiating. Burial will follow at the Eversole Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. If desired, contributions may be made to the New Lebanon United Methodist Church in memory of Margaret.
