Marian White

WHITE, Marian (Eberly), 94, of Brookville, Ohio, died on September 21, 2011. She was born in Seneca County, Ohio on October 29, 1916 to the late Joseph L. and Ina (Freeze) Eberly. A treasured homemaker and mother, Marian was a volunteer with the local school, churches, and Good Samaritan Hospital. She was an attendee of the Slifer's Presbyterian Church in Farmersville, OH and a lifetime member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in New Lebanon, OH. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, George A. White; son, Douglas; sisters, Christine, Margaret, Llewella, and Pauline; and two brothers, Robert and Gordon. Marian is survived by one daughter and son-in-law Jayne and William Pitt of Huntington, CT; son and daughter-in-law Steve and Anne White of New Lebanon, OH; four grandchildren, William Pitt of Bridgeport, CT; Geoffrey (Heather) of Lexington, KY; Ashley (Bradley) Preece of Lorton, VA, and Daniel White of Dayton, OH; and two great-grandchildren Charlotte and Benjamin White. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 25 at the Rogers Funeral Home, 324 West Main Street, New Lebanon, OH with funeral services to follow from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Interment will be in Bear Creek Cemetery in Dayton.
