Marilyn Jean Bemis

Marilyn Jean Bemis, age 84 of Farmersville, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on January 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 29, 1940, in Mount Sterling, Kentucky to her parents, Howard and Dorothy Leach. Marilyn and her husband Bruce attended Stivers High School and were married in 1956. They traveled to California while he was in the Navy, returning to Ohio in 1961, and enjoyed a lifelong journey together. She was a proud resident of Farmersville, Ohio (Jackson Township) and was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church as a devout Christian. Her love and kindness touched many lives throughout the years. She never met a stranger, and her soft-hearted personality attracted many people to her. She was a devoted and selfless daughter, mother, and grandmother, always willing to help in any way. She was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Dorothy Leach, and daughter Terrilynn Bemis Moore. She is survived by her husband of 68-years Bruce Bemis Sr, daughter Cheri Thornton (Herb), son Bruce Bemis, Jr. (Michelle), son Gerald Bemis (Shannon), sister Carolyn Riegle, along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, family, and friends. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
