Marion M. Landis

LANDIS, Marion M Age 98 of Trotwood, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, May 13, 2011. He was born on March 6, 1913 in Circle, Montana to his parents, Alden “A.E.” and Jessie Landis. Marion was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Marie (Smith); 2 brothers, Frank and Herbert; 3 sisters, Emma, Lucille, and Helen; 1 grandchild, Terry; and 2 great-grandchildren, Chad, and John Landis. Marion is survived by his 3 sons, Don (Ann), Ken (Gloria), and Paul (Claudette) Landis, 1 brother, Bill (Grace) Landis; 12 grandchildren, Dave, Donna, Rex, Roxanne, Cinda, Karen, Mike, Cheryl, Jolene, Debbie, Dean, and Lisa; 30 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; and many more family members and friends. Marion retired from Inland Manufacturing after 39 years of service. He was a Cub and Boy Scout Master for post #44 and was a longtime member of the Bear Creek Church of the Brethren. A Celebration of Marion’s life will be 10:30 AM Tuesday at the Bear Creek Church of the Brethren with Pastor Phil Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday evening at ROGERS’ FUNERAL HOME, TROTWOOD, and also at the church from 10:00 AM Tuesday until the start of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bear Creek Living Memorial Fund in memory of Marion.
