Marvin Shelby

Shelby, Marvin Charles, Age 81, of Brookville, Ohio, passed away August 3, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents Wilbur and Mary Jane Shelby, wife Shirlie, and daughter Katherine Church.

Marvin is survived by his daughters, Rhonda (Joe) Landis and Crystal (Mike) Reed; grandchildren, Adam (Bobbie) Landis, Tanaya Thompson, Craig (Amy ) Thompson, Justin (Nakita Lancaster) Landis, Jesse (Amy) Landis, Erin (Josh) Scott, Rachel Miller, Megan (Alex) Walker, and Andrew Church; great grandchildren, Lyric Valentine, Jonathan Landis, Carley Landis, Jake Landis, Dylan Landis, Phoenix Thompson, Jordan Thompson, Logan Scott, Corbin Scott, Austin Landis, Benton Scott, Oliver Miller, and Ray Walker.

Marvin proudly served in the United States Army and was employed as a tool and die maker in the Dayton Area for 45 years. He was also a charter member of and served nine years on the Dayton National Cemetery Honor Squad.

Visitation will be held from 10-11am with funeral service to follow at 11:00am on Wednesday, August 7th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1500 Shiloh Springs Road, Dayton, Ohio 45426. Interment with military honors will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Brookville.
