Mary “Liz” Moore

Mary “Liz” Elizabeth Moore age 60, born September 28th, 1965 of New Lebanon, Ohio passed away on Friday, August 14, 2026. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Leona Stamper, sister Susan, brother Richard “Dick”, brother Paul, and infant sister Mary Catherine. 

Liz devoted over thirty years to others as a mental health counselor and volunteered at the New Lebanon United Methodist Church she attended. She was dedicated to her faith and family. Liz was known and loved for her decorum, enthusiasm, optimism, and great sense of humor. She enjoyed visiting the beaches of Mexico, quoting her favorite movies, baking desserts, singing show tunes and hymns, watching true crime, and drinking real sugar Pepsi. Liz was an avid runner and finished many long distance races including several half marathons. 

She is survived by her husband Michael Moore, stepson Benjamin, stepdaughter Erin (Bob Stitt), son Micah (Morgan Moore), son Isam Daniel (Kaylin Moore), daughter Mary (Jayson Stauffer), and grandchildren: Jackson, Benjamin Clay, and Sunny.

2 Timothy 4:7 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

Visitation will be held from 12-1pm with funeral service to begin at 1:00pm on Friday, August 21, 2026 at Rogers Funeral Home in New Lebanon. Burial will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed online at: www.RogersFuneralHomes.com
