Mildred Louise Truesdale

January 14, 1931 — January 23, 2023

TRUESDALE, Mildred Louise

Age 92 of New Lebanon, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023. She was born in Gatliff, KY on January 14, 1931 to her parents, Fred & Martha (Perkins) Cooper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Truesdale, and her brother, Billy Cooper.

Louise is survived by her loving daughter, Linda Campbell (RB) of Dayton, OH; sons, Fred Truesdale (Sue) of Oak Harbor, OH, Randy Truesdale (Christina) of Clayton, OH, and Brian Truesdale of Huber Heights, OH; She is also survived by her sisters, Alberta Sims of Lexington, KY, and Marie Devine, Jeanette Adams, and Betty Stratton of Harrodsburg, KY; brother, Donald Cooper of Lawrenceburg, KY She was also a doting grandmother of 15 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 17 great great grandchildren.

Louise was a Godly woman who based her life on spiritual principles. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of New Lebanon. She was a conscientious, hard worker and believed that if a job was worth doing, it was worth doing right. She worked for Cassano's Pizza until she retired after 50 years. Her hands were never idle. She passed this trait to her children and grandchildren who grew up knowing that knowing a job wasn’t done until she said it was done. Then, she would find another job for them to do. Louise was honest, even brutally honest at times (in a loving way, of course) . We never had to wonder or try to read between the lines to figure out what she truly thought. She made it clear. When she spoke, we listened and after reflection, laughed at her candor. That’s what we all loved about her. Her passion was working in her flowerbeds. Her flowers were always the biggest and the brightest in her neighborhood. She could make anything grow in any soil, temperature, or season. Her favorite flower was a daisy, and her daisies were breathtaking and envied by all. She taught us all that the simple things in life were the best things in life - family, puzzles, reading, summer rainshowers, the first daffodil bloom in the spring. She was loved and will be missed by all of us.
