Monta Marie "Granny" Eldridge

ELDRIDGE, Monta Marie "Granny" Age 100 years & 293 days, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014. She was born on April 21, 1913 in Pulaski, KY to her parents, George & Priscilla (Barbour) Allen. Preceded in death by her husband, Hubert "Nick" Eldridge; parents; 4 sisters; 3 brothers; 1 daughter; 3 sons; and son-in-law, Lloyd Baird. She is survived by her daughters, Cloda Baird, of New Lebanon, OH; and Geraldine Mutzner, of Richmond, IN; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Eldridge, of Dayton; Loving granddaughters, Sharon and Ed Petry of Miamisburg, OH, and Debbie and Darrin Heinz of Waynesville, OH; Special Great-grandchildren, Wyatt & Rachel Heinz of Waynesville; and numerous other, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, which certainly includes Glenda Tilley & Ottie New; and many more friends. Monta was a wonderful homemaker and a great cook. She enjoyed working in the yard, bird watching, and was an excellent babysitter. Visitation will be from 11AM-12PM with funeral service to follow at 12:00PM on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014 at Rogers' Funeral Home, 324 W. Main St., New Lebanon, Ohio 45345.
