Moonyene F. Coursey

COURSEY, Moonyene F. Age 81 of New Lebanon, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015. She was born in Livingston, KY on Feb. 17, 1934 to her parents, Starns & Bonnie (DeBord) Freeman whom precede her in death. Moonyene is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ron Coursey; 3 children, Brian Coursey, Sean Coursey, and Lisa (Gregory) Szwec; 3 grandchildren, William, Jeanyene, and Jared; siblings, John C. (Beverly) VanHook, and Judy (Richard) McIntosh; and numerous other family members and friends. Moonyene worked as a medical technician at Grandview Hospital. She married Ron, an Army Lieutenant, and became an Army wife. She was also a wonderful housewife, mother, and grandmother. Her hobbies included singing and cooking, especially her potato salad and carrot cake. She will be missed. Visitation will be held from 11am-12pm with funeral service to follow at 12:00 pm on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015 at Rogers Funeral Home in New Lebanon. Pastor Bill Walk officiating.
