Nancy Powers

POWERS, Nancy Age 62 of Brookville passed away early Wednesday morning, June 08, 2011 with her husband by her side. She was born on Oct. 2, 1948 in Crawfordsville, IN to her parents Luther and Mary Oaks. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister, Barb Thompson. Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Herschel Powers; daughter, Shari McKinney; and son, Steven Powers; 2 grandchildren, Cory & Emma McKinney; 3 sisters, Sarah Adkins, Esther Stamper, and Martha Smith; 1 brother, George Oaks; and many more special family members and friends. Nancy’s family would especially like to thank all her friends at New Lebanon Schools, where she worked for 27 years. All of your cards, thoughts, and prayers mean so much to us all. Nancy was truly a wonderful woman and will be missed. A Memorial service will be held 7:00 PM on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Rogers’ Funeral Home, New Lebanon with Pastor Randy Reed from Hospice of Dayton officiating. Visiting hours will be from 5:00 PM until the start of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave. Dayton, OH 45420, in memory of Nancy.
