SWORD, Nichole N. It is with great sadness that I have to inform everyone my sister, Nichole Sword, born 12/20/1977, and just turned 36 on Friday, died in a crash early Sunday morning. She leaves behind her son Devin who she loved with all of her heart, her mother and father David and Jennifer Sword, brother Andrew, a niece Megan Osborn, 2 cats she loved very much, Indiana and Tubby, along with many friends and loved ones who have shared in the ups and downs of her life. She recently started a relationship and was in a very happy place. I am truly devastated, guilt ridden, and hope that everyone reading this could take a moment and offer a prayer to my family during this time of grief we are going through. Whether you agreed with my sister or understood her actions is irrelevant. She is gone...and I certainly hope she has found the peace that life did not always provide her with open arms. I will miss her dearly as those of us who knew Nikki, knew she was definitely one of a kind...vices included. As a loving brother, father, uncle, and son, I ask that everyone please keep these things in mind before rushing to any opinion or judgment as there are those of us here who still have a long road to travel yet. This may never get easier and it certainly will never go away. Mom, dad, Devin...I love you all very much and know we will get through this. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to any Wright Patterson Credit union branch into an account established to benefit Devin Brombaugh, Nikki's son. The Visitation will be held Thursday 12/26/13 from 5 – 8 PM at ROGERS' FUNERAL HOME, 324 W. Main St. New Lebanon, 45345. The Funeral Service will begin at 8PM with Pastor Stephen Betts, officiating.
