Nina E. Akers

AKERS, Nina E. Age 84, of New Lebanon, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 18, 2014. Nina was born October 23, 1930 in Praise, Kentucky to the late Henry Frank and Allie Jane Mayton. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Carl Leslie, Gene Jr, and Hubert Honaker Mayton. Nina is survived by her brother, Thurman Columbus (Avanell) Mayton of Dayton; sisters, Mary Ellen (Lawrence) McCarty of West Alexandria, Patty Sue (Carl) Fugate of Xenia, and Jane (Robert) Barrett of Vandalia; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Nina enjoyed flowers, quilting, and sewing, and was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Dayton. The Visitation will be Monday, December 22 from 11AM to 12PM at Rogers’ Funeral Home, New Lebanon. The Funeral Service will begin at 12PM with Pastor Donnie Smith officiating. Burial will follow the service at Preble Memory Gardens, West Alexandria.
