EATON, Norma M. "Millie" Age 85, of Trotwood, OH, formally of Plad, Mo., passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 10th after a brief illness. She was born on July 4th, 1933, the 5th and youngest child of Ray and Lula (Bailey) Scrivener. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Paul, her oldest son, Duane, and her 4 siblings, Madeline, Cecil, Beulah, and Paul. She is survived by her sons, Darren and Douglas, her daughter-in-law Sarah, and her sister-in-law, Mary Michael, along with many beloved nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends. Norma spent many years as a homemaker, who enjoyed bowling, going to bingo, going to the casinos, playing cards (especially euchre), listening to old country and gospel music, and visiting friends. She worked for 6 years at Hills Dept. Store in Trotwood and once she and Paul retired, they traveled all over the U.S. and was fortunate enough to visit 48 states. And like her father, she was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and got to watch them win 8 of their 11 World Series titles. But the thing that she loved most was animals, especially dogs. She never met a dog that she didn't like and always had to pet them, especially her loyal buddies, Copper and Charlie. And because of her love of animals, we ask that donations be made to the Humane Society of Dayton and also to SICSA. The family will receive friends Friday, January 11, 2019 from 11AM to 1PM at ROGERS' FUNERAL HOME, Trotwood. A Memorial Service will begin at 1PM with Pastor Tom Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow at Dayton National Cemetery at 2:30PM.
