MOYER, Norman G. "Pete" Went to be with the Lord on April 7, 2021. He was born on November 24, 1932 to Gladys and Carl, Sr. Pete was preceded in death by his wife, Lou Ella; son, Norman; mother, Gladys; father, Carl, Sr.; brothers, Edwin, Carl, Jr.; sisters, Lenore, and Virginia. He is survived by two sisters, Janet and Shirley. He spent the last 11 years with his 2nd wife, Betty. She returned to Pennsylvania with her family in March. Norman was drafted to the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict. After his service, he married Lou Ella, and they were married for nearly 50 years before her death in 2005. They raised four children, Norman (Sheri), Karen (Jim), Larry (Aggie) and Robin (Dwayne); blessed with 5 grandchildren, Michael (Megan), Josh (Rachel), Jordan, Alexandria, and Allison; 3 great-grandchildren, Levi, Noah, and Adam. They were parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents to so many more, their door was always open, and the coffee pot was always on. Pete spent his career as a heavy equipment operator and had a love for antique farm machinery. He spent nearly every day of retirement working on, selling, and buying old farm equipment. He was blessed by many friendships along the way and treasured them as much as his family and tractors. He had a love for all of God's creatures and enjoyed his morning coffee watching the birds. He loved gardening and watching his roses bloom. Visitation will be held at Rogers Funeral Homes in New Lebanon on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the Funeral Home at 12 p.m., with the family to receive guests an hour prior. Burial to follow at Twin Valley Cemetery in West Alexandria. In lieu of flowers, please pay it forward to someone in need, or Hospice of Dayton.
