Nyra Zell (Bourne) Minnick

MINNICK, Nyra Zell (Bourne) Age 90, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015. Nyra was born in Bristol, TN on May 7, 1925 to her parents, Charles & Maude (Heaton) Bourne. She moved to Ohio in 1951, finally settling in Trotwood in1954. She lived there for 26 years. Nyra was a Christian woman who enjoyed sewing and playing the piano. She was also a former bookkeeper at several places. Nyra was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert G. Minnick, 3 brothers, Charles Bourne Jr., Gordon Bourne, and Allen Bourne; also her sister-in-law, Yvonne Bourne. Nyra is survived by her daughter, Gerry Minnick Woodyard & husband Tom; grandchildren, Amy Woodyard Cole & husband Nathan; and Jared Woodyard & wife Vickie; 6 great-grandchildren, Garrett, Wyatt, Cooper, Brett, Taylor, and Bennett; 4 siblings, Gene Bourne, James Bourne & wife Helen, John “Bud” Bourne & wife Sharon, and Carol Bourne Gardin & husband Roger; many nieces, nephews and other family members. A Private Graveside service will be held at Sugar Grove Cemetery on Wednesday, June 3, 2015. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton in memory of Nyra.
