Orie Clinton Dale

DALE, Orie Clinton Age 89 of Farmersville, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, June 06, 2014. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on October 15, 1924 to his parents, George & Ella (Sampson) Dale. Orie was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers, Melvin, Leroy, Paul, and Lloyd Dale; and 2 sisters, Genevive Kesling, and Pauline Hofferberth. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, June (Bell) Dale; son, Ronald (Darlene) Dale; daughter, Fayrene (Tim) Alspaugh; brother, Stanley B. Dale; 2 sisters, Geraldine (John) Powell, and Myrtle (Monty) Caudwell; sisters-in-law, Evelyn, and Phyllis Dale; 5 grandchildren, Kimberly (Dennis) Arnold, Michelle (Duane) Whitesel, Greg (Christa) Alspaugh, Mindy (Darrell) Stone, and Christopher (Renee) Dale; 13 great-grandchildren, Emily Whitesel, Melissa Mederois, Ashley (Ben) Fuhr, Saraya (Brad) Arnold, Rebecca Whitesel, Jennifer Arnold, Tyler Stone, Quentin Alspaugh, Tommy Arnold, Cameron Stone, Cassidy Alspaugh, Ronald Whitesel, and Alexander Clinton Whitesel; also, 3 great-great grandchildren, Mia Mederois, Joel Whitesel-Amzequita, and Ryan Whitesel- Ramos; and many more family members and friends. Orie was a lifelong member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church and a proud U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. He retired from G.M. after 30 years of service and loved to fish, camp, and even farmed part time. He was greatly loved by his family and was a wonderful father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM Monday evening at Rogers' Funeral Home in New Lebanon. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 10, 2104 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 282 S. Broadway St., Farmersville, Ohio 45325. Pastor Larry Lindstrom officiating. Interment will follow at Pyrmont Cemetery in Brookville. Any Monetary donations can be made to St. Andrews Lutheran Church earmarked for the memorial fund or The Farmersville Fire Association.
