GRUBB, Patricia J. “Pat”

Age 87 of Dayton, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. She was born on August 27, 1935 to her parents, Oscar & Sadie Olwine. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Grubb; and brothers, Gerald & Verle (Helen) Olwine.

Pat is survived by her daughter, Christy (Larry) Sarsgard, and their children, Taylor (Ben) Lutter and Spencer Sarsgard; son, David (Jamie) Grubb, and their children, Kristen, Kasey, Jordan, Elijah, Joanna, Joy, Levi, and Samuel, and 14 great-grandchildren; and niece, Marilyn (Bill) Jorge, and their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Pat was a graduate of Fairview High School in 1953. She worked as a hairdresser for 40 years at Breitenstrater and Hair Caper with her friend Maxine. Pat was married to her soulmate, Clarence, for over 30 years, and the two were inseparable. They placed the Lord first in their marriage, and the rest fell into place. Some of the things they enjoyed doing together were being active in their church, reading the Bible, cheering on their grandchildren at their events, going out to eat, and taking walks. Pat also loved being “Nana” and treasured babysitting, cooking, and spending time with family. Pat taught 3rd and 4th Grade Sunday School with her best friends Shelva and Billie for many years and were life-long friends.

What great joy it is that she is now in Heaven with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 17 from 11-12 a.m. with funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Arlington Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed online at: www.RogersFuneralHomes.com
