Patricia A. Pecoskie, 88

Sidney, Ohio – Patricia A. Pecoskie, 88, of Sidney, Ohio, gracefully departed this life on June 13, 2025. Born Allie Patricia Wilkins on January 25, 1937, in the scenic town of Hinton, West Virginia, she was the cherished daughter of the late Florence Ballengee.

Patricia was the beloved wife of the late Angus Pecoskie, and her absence will be profoundly felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a beacon of light, remembered for her infectious laugh, her unwavering kindness, and an adventurous spirit that embraced life's every turn.

Her early life was marked by incredible resilience. After the passing of her mother from Meningitis in 1943, Patricia and her older brother, the late Bobbie Ballengee, navigated significant challenges, demonstrating an early strength that would define her life. This period undoubtedly shaped her compassionate heart and enduring spirit.

Patricia honed her intellect in the classrooms of Jefferson Township, laying the groundwork for a successful career. She dedicated most of her adult life to her role as an office manager, where her organizational skills and warm demeanor made her an invaluable asset.

Beyond her professional life, Patricia's soul found solace and joy in simple pleasures. She was an avid bird watcher, finding peace in the vibrant hues and songs of nature. Her mind was perpetually engaged with puzzles, each completed piece a testament to her sharp intellect. A keen eye for beauty led her to a delightful collection of crafts, each piece holding a story. Above all, her greatest joy was spending time with her beloved family, creating cherished memories that will now be treasured.

Patricia’s legacy lives on through her devoted son, Robert D. Bowman; her cherished grandchildren, Trent (Bowman) Freeman and Kenna Gonzales; and her loving nieces, Christine (Ballengee) Morris and Libby Ballengee, and nephew, Bryant Ballengee. She joins in eternal peace her brother, Bobbie Ballengee, and her dear son, Kenneth L. Bowman, who preceded her in death.

A vibrant Celebration of Life service will be held to honor Patricia's remarkable journey on July 2, 2025, at 6:30 PM, at Brightside in Dayton, Ohio. This will be a time for friends and family to share stories, laughter, and tears, celebrating a life lived with grace and joy. On a future date, Patricia will be laid to rest adjacent to her brother in the serene Arlington Cemetery in Brookville, Ohio, a testament to their enduring bond.
