Paul L. Brown

Paul L. Brown, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, grandfather and friend, peacefully passed away at his home in Trotwood on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, joining Jesus at the age of 79. Paul was born on May 22, 1946, in Masonville, New Jersey, to Storia and Annie Brown. He will be profoundly missed by his family and friends who were touched by his life and faith.

A dedicated and hardworking individual, Paul retired from the City of Trotwood after 24 years of service. His career also included roles in construction, American Freight, and Butler Asphalt, showcasing his commitment to hard work and community engagement. Paul was a proud Navy veteran, having served his country with honor, and found great privilege in attending the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C.

Faith played a pivotal role in Paul's life. He loved Jesus deeply and dedicated a significant portion of his time to serving as the Associate Pastor at a small church. Paul was a current member of the Salem Church of God, where he was an active participant on the security team. His unwavering belief in Jesus was a guiding force in his life and served as an example to those around him.

Paul cherished his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Cheri (White) Brown, and his children: daughter Ann (Steve) O'Neill, son Lonnie (Candace) Solis, daughter Paula Burnett, stepsons Andrew (Casey) White and Nathan White, siblings William (Linda) Brown, Warren Brown, and Mary Brown. Paul adored his 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, and he delighted in helping and supporting them, demonstrating a love and dedication that will resonate through generations.

In addition to his immediate family, Paul leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cherished friends who were fortunate to have known him. However, he is preceded in death by his parents Storia and Annie Brown, his brother Storia, sister Barbara, an infant son, Paul Brown Jr., two grandsons, one great-grandson, and the mother of his children, Joyce Milby Brown.

Paul enjoyed simple pleasures in life, including watching television shows like Blue Bloods and NCIS, as he once harbored dreams of becoming a police officer. He enjoyed tinkering with cars and working with wood in the garage. His warmth, kindness, and genuine nature have left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Rogers Funeral Homes, located at 324 W Main St, New Lebanon, OH 45345. Following the visitation, a memorial service will begin at 1:00 PM.

A Graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026 at 2:00PM at Dayton National Cemetery. Please arrive no earlier than 1:45PM.
