Eaton, Paul A. Age 86, of Trotwood, passed away peacefully on June 26th, 2017 after a short battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton Eaton and Ruie Bragg (Williams); his oldest son, Duane C. Eaton; and brother, Carl B. Eaton. Paul is survived by his loving wife, Norma "Millie" of Trotwood; his sons, Darren of Trotwood and Douglas and special daughter-in-law, Sarah of West Carrollton; and sister, Mary Michael of Eaton. Paul is also survived by numerous other loving family members and friends, especially his Wednesday evening bowling buddies from Capri Lanes, John Sr., John Jr., Vern, Bryant, and Ray. Paul was a 1948 graduate of Kiser High School, and a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean campaign. He retired after 40 years of employment from GM and enjoyed nearly 30 years of post-retirement. He loved to go fishing, hunting, bowling, to the casinos, and traveling the U.S. with Norma. Paul was a huge Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, and Cleveland Cavaliers fan, and one of his biggest passions was sitting in his recliner reading the Bible. He was a baseball coach and umpire for many years during the heyday of Trotwood Boys Baseball Club (TBBC). He was a very loving husband and father, who will be missed until he is joined by his beloved family in Heaven. A memorial visitation will be 11:30am to 1:00pm with memorial service to follow at 1:00pm on Monday, July 3, 2017 at Rogers Funeral Home in Trotwood. Pastor Tom Rodriguez will be officiating. A graveside service will follow the same day at 2:30pm at the Dayton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of Dayton.
