RINDLER, Paul Frank Age 88, of Dayton, OH, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011. Born Oct. 4, 1922 of Joseph and Loretta (Dillhoff) Rindler in Cranberry Prairie, OH. Survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris (Barga) Rindler; 7 children, James (Bernadette) Rindler, June (Gary) Schindler, (James) Sicnolf, Patricia (David) Delaney, Mary Ann (James) Pera, Mark (Alice) Rindler, Rosemary (Michael) Prier, and John Rindler; 16 grandchildren and in-laws: Suzanne, Matthew (Karen), Roy (Julie), Paul (Mary), Andrew, Elizabeth (Nicholas), Benjamin, David (Maria), Jonathan (Mary), Travis, Michael (Ruth), Caroline, Allison, Samuel, Anne and Grace; 6 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way. Surviving siblings and in-laws include: Della Mae Cox, Robert (Betty) Rindler, Barbara (Verl) Mangen, Doris (Bernard) Philpot, Lee Hull, Carol Rindler, Marlene McClurg, Sister Maura Barga, and David (Thelma) Barga. He was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Margaret Sicnolf and Barbara Rindler. Paul retired from Delco Moraine after 39 years as General Foreman. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy on a minesweeper in the Pacific Theatre including Iwo Jima and Okinawa. After retiring, Paul volunteered many years at Good Samaritan Hospital and for Trotwood Handivan. He and Doris were members of Precious Blood Parish for 60 years, where the viewing will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday evening. A Mass of Christian burial will also be held at Precious Blood Catholic Church at 10:30 AM on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011 with Father William O’Donnell, C.P.P.S. officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Elizabeth’s New Life Center, 359 Forest Ave., Dayton, OH 45405 or to Precious Blood Catholic Church, 4961 Salem Ave. Dayton, OH 45416. Arrangements entrusted to Rogers’ Funeral Home in Trotwood.
