Paul E. Wampler

WAMPLER, Paul E. Age 95, a lifelong resident of New Lebanon, passed away Oct. 21, 2011. He was born Sept. 24, 1916 to Perry & Eva (Patterson) Wampler, who preceded him in death. He married Freda Shade on August 4, 1935 and they were married for 70 years before her death in 2005. Preceded in death by a daughter, Donna L. McCarty, in 1996, and a brother Carl E., in 1945. Survived by three daughters, Loretta M. (Bud) Holp; Judith A (Mark) Grube; and Paula J. Wampler. Also survived by seven grandchildren; Debra (Holp) Spitler; Jeffrey Holp; Lisa (Holp) Twardowski; Cathy McCarty; Denise McCarty; David Good; and Ryan Grube; 6 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert (Evalee) Wampler. Paul was a devoted husband, father & grandfather. He retired from Toolcraft Products after 30 years as a tool and die maker. He loved working on cars, traveling, and was a faithful member of 1st Baptist Church in Brookville. Paul will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Wed., Oct 26, at Rogers' Funeral Home, New Lebanon, 324 W. Main St. with Dr. Richard Donovan & Pastor Timothy Rudd officiating. Interment will follow in Sugar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the start of the service.
