Pauline "Polly" Leonard, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2023, in Brookville, Ohio, at the age of 89. Born on October 15, 1933, Polly was known for her infectious laughter, creativity, and love for life.
Polly was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Leonard, and her brother, Ritchie Remmert. She is survived by her sister, Betty Potter; daughter and son-in-law, Vicki (Doug) Bales; sons, Rick (Teresa) Leonard and Jeff (Dawn) Leonard; grandchildren, Jim, Tricia, Lindsey, Kelly, Jennifer, Jessica, Greg, and Justin; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Abigal, Samantha, Alex, Colby, Linus, Makenna, Austin, Skylar, Allie, Landon, Cora, Stella, Rylee, Peyton, Dawson, Olivia, and Rylee; and very special friends, neighbor Peggy Perrine and caregiver Tamika Phillips.
Polly was a talented watercolor artist who found great joy in teaching others how to paint with watercolors. She was always eager to share her knowledge and skills with those around her and inspired many to discover their own artistic talents. Her beautiful artwork will be cherished by her family and friends for generations to come.
Throughout her life, Polly was known for her funny, loving, and creative spirit. She had a unique ability to make everyone around her feel special and loved. Her sense of humor was contagious, and she could always be counted on to bring laughter and joy to any gathering. Polly's love for her family and friends was evident in many ways.
Polly's legacy of love, laughter, and creativity will live on through her family and friends, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her. Her kindness, generosity, and warmth will never be forgotten and will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Rest in peace, dear Polly. Your laughter, love, and creativity will be remembered always, and your spirit will continue to inspire those who were lucky enough to know you.
There will be a graveside service Saturday July 1st, 10:30 am at Dayton Memorial Park, 8135 N Dixie Drive Dayton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St Judes Childrens Hospital.

Arrive about 10:15am and we will meet at the cemetery entrance to form a line. The cemetery will lead us back to the graveside location at 10:25am
