Pauline L. Spatz

SPATZ, Pauline L. Age 90 of Union, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019. She was born April 10, 1929 in Trotwood, Ohio to her parents, Charles & Pauline (Fuerst) Raffel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Spatz, Jr.; son, Charles Spatz; 4 brothers; and 1 sister. Pauline is survived by her daughter, Christine (Stephen) Scarbro; son, Joseph (Karen) Spatz, III; daughter, Diane (Eddie) Starnes; grandchildren, Jennifer (Michael) Wright, Daniel Scarbro, Jodi (Brian) Riall, Shannon Spatz, Matthew (Brenda) Spatz, and Olivia Starnes; and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends, including Steve Arshop. Pauline retired from Trotwood Madison City Schools after 29 years as a bus driver and transportation coordinator. She was a longtime member of Precious Blood Catholic Church and was known to never meet a stranger. Pauline enjoyed all the little things that came along with being a homemaker, including cooking and crafts. She even enjoyed playing the nickel machines in Las Vegas any chance she could get. Most of all she loved her family and will be missed dearly. Visitation will be held from 9:30am-10:30am with Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30am on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Precious Blood Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens.
