Peter William Ruppert

RUPPERT, Peter Wm. age 73 of New Lebanon passed away on Wednesday, October 1st 2014 at his home with his loving wife of 50 years by his side. Pete was a devoted husband who put family and friends before his own needs. He especially cherished the moments with his grandchildren. Pete was born July 13, 1941 in Dayton, Ohio. He graduated from Patterson co-op, proudly served in the US Army, and retired from sheet metal local 224 after 30+ years. Pete enjoyed working on his home and projects in the garage. He also loved to go fishing and being outdoors. Pete was always willing to give a helping hand and loved by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter H. and Madonna R. (Glaser); sister, Madonna Mae Fuerst; and special in-laws, Walter and Tressie Coffee. Left to cherish his memory is wife, Ann (Coffee); sons, Todd (Pam) and Brian (Mendy); grandchildren, Lacey, Cody, Heather, and McKinlee; sister, Elizabeth (Richard) Bennet; and many more family and friends. Pete and the family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all those who assisted him and his family in a long and courageous battle with cancer, especially Dr. Manish Sheth. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 5th from 4 to 7pm at Rogers Funeral Home, New Lebanon. The funeral service will be Monday, October 6th at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Trissel Cemetery, New Lebanon.
