Phillip Scott Denius

DENIUS, Phillip Scott Age 61, of New Lebanon, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, September 20,2018. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard L. Denius. Survived by his mother, Bette A. Denius, brother, Jeff Denius (Melissa), brother, Ted Denius (Beverly), sister, Angie Willis (Barry), nephews, Matt Denius, Mike Denius, Rich Denius (Lauren) Summer Denius Hopler (Stephen), great nephews, Jaren Denius, Kaden Denius, Declan Denius, Johnny Hopler and great niece, Rose Hopler. Also survived by fiancé, Sheri Prange of Sanabel Island, Florida. Phil is also survived by many loved ones, family and friends. Phil graduated from Dixie High School in 1974. Phil loved playing and coaching softball with the Brethren Church of New Lebanon team and the G.M. Truck and Bus League. Phil enjoyed doing everything outdoors, gardening and working in the yard and planting roses at the New Lebanon Brethren Church where he was a member. Phil enjoyed shelling on the beach at Sanibel Island with his sister Angie. Phil was also an avid sports fan. He was an excellent bowler and he held the "King Pin" trophy of the family. Phil enjoyed playing Scrabble and usually won the games with the family. Phil loved Corvettes. Phil worked at General Motors in Moraine for 25 years. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018 from 11am-1pm with the funeral service to follow at 1pm at the Brethren Church of New Lebanon, 32 S. Church St., New Lebanon, Ohio, 45345. Interment will follow the service at Trissel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brethren Church and/or the New Lebanon Fire Department in memory of Phil.
