Phyllis M. Garrett

GARRETT, Phyllis M. Age 92, of Dayton, left this earthly home on Friday December 16, 2016. She was born April 17, 1924 to the late John and Sophia French. Phyllis was a life-long member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, employed by Inland Division of General Motors for 30 years, and a member of the 25 Year Club. She loved children, animals, and flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband, James in 1988; former husband Dale E. Tilton, Sr.; 4 sisters, Marie Stover of Greenville, Alyce Bill of Robertsdale, AL, Arlene Sears of Trotwood, and Evelyn Logan of Beavercreek; and grandsons; Matthew Tilton of Lewisburg and Timothy Tilton of Dayton. Phyllis leaves to mourn 3 sons, John L. (Nancy) of Lewisburg, Danny (Barbara) Tilton of Burnside, KY, and Dale E. Tilton Jr. of Burnside, KY; grandchildren, John C. Tilton, Heather Grace, Misty Grant, Thomas Tilton, Danny Tilton Jr, David Tilton, Jeffrey Tilton, Dale Tilton III, and Dwayne Tilton; and many great and great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday December 21 from 5PM to 7PM at ROGERS’ FUNERAL HOME, New Lebanon. The funeral service will be Thursday December 22 at 11AM at the funeral home with Pastor John Johansen officiating. Burial will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria.
