Phyllis Jean (Nee Denlinger) Phillips

PHILLIPS, Phyllis Jean (nee Denlinger) Age 88 of Trotwood, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016. She was born in Brookville, Ohio on September 28, 1928 to her parents, Pharon B. & Clara E. (Rauch) Denlinger. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Marvin “Corky” Phillips. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Ann (Rob) Line, Lynne (Kevin) Moran, and Beth (Mark) Denlinger; 7 grandchildren, Adam, Brian, Eric, Sean, Sarah, Katie, and Jamie; 6 great-grandchildren; her sister, Sharon Ann Howell; lifetime friend, William Landis; and many dear friends. Phyllis sang in the Inland Children’s Chorus. She was a 1946 graduate of Madison High School (Trotwood) and a 1949 graduate of Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing. Phyllis was also a longtime member and Deacon of Trotwood Church of the Brethren. A visitation will be held from 5-8 PM Friday at Rogers Funeral Home in Trotwood. Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016 at Trotwood Church of the Brethren, 208 E. Main St., Trotwood, Ohio 45426. Pastor Jennifer Scarr will be officiating. Interment will follow the service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton, and/or Trotwood Church of the Brethren in memory of Phyllis.
