Ralph E. Swigart

SWIGART, Ralph E. Age 85, born December 27, 1928. Passed away May 30, 2014. Youngest of 12 children; preceded in death by his parents Daniel Edward Swigart and Ivy Elizabeth and his siblings: Viola, Alice, Nevin, Iva Lucille, Mildred, Rienze, Marcella, Orville(Gene), Helen, Charlotte, and Kenneth(Bub). Survived by a sister-in-law Ruth Swigart and survived by 21 nieces and nephews, William Helman & wife Colleen, Donna Guffey, Barbara Weikert, Nevin Swigart Jr & wife Sandy, Roger Swigart & wife Janet, Sandra Sowry & husband Myron, Gary Swigart & wife Carol, Joanne Haley, Ron Miller, Daniel Swigart & wife Pat, Spencer Swigart & wife Margie, Steven Swigart & wife Marilyn, Kelly Oren & husband Roger, Michael Brun, Dennis Brun & wife Julie, Karen Brun Bidwell, Adrian Brun & wife Sheri, Todd Hammond & wife Andi, Hope Appelbaum & husband Bob, Cynthia Brown & husband Richard, Danny Swigart, other great nieces and nephews, and a good friend and neighbor Roy & Sharon Presson. Ralph served in the US Army from 1951 to 1953, was honorably discharged after serving in Germany. He worked for Delco for many years, owned a midget racer, enjoyed watching racing, and going to swap meets. We love you with all our hearts; you've touched so many lives in many ways and guided all of us through life. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 3rd, from 10 to 11:00am at the Rogers Funeral Home in Trotwood Ohio, then a short service officiated by Todd Hammond.
