Raymond C. Gabbard Sr.

Age 76, of Archbold, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 in Toledo, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents James E. and Mary Gabbard (Berry), siblings James D. (Maxine) Gabbard, Marcella (Willard) Watkins, Louis (Lois) Gabbard, Betty (Travis) Coe, his father and mother-in-law Harlon and Ester McPherson and brothers-in-law Wesley McPherson and John Lock.

Ray is survived by his loving wife Phyllis of 56 years, their son Ray Gabbard (Bill Kopczynski), daughter Wendi (Luke) Gibson and their granddaughter Emily Gibson as well as numerous family members.

Ray was a handyman and could often be found updating his home or those of his children. He loved camping and spent many years at the lake with his family fishing. He was a talker and had never met a stranger. Some of his best times were spent traveling with his wife, children, and granddaughter. He enjoyed a good water fight and watching an old western on TV. Ray was also a Vietnam Vet. He worked as a mold process engineer in Richmond, IN and Wauseon, Ohio.

Visitation will be held from 11am-1pm with funeral service to begin at 1:00pm on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Rogers Funeral Home in New Lebanon. Interment will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery in West Alexandria. www.RogersFuneralHomes.com
