PALATAS, Raymond C.

Age 85 of Dayton, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023. He was born on June 22, 1938 to his parents, Andrew and Bernadine Palatas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Palatas; and sister, Rosemary Romine.

Raymond is survived by his nephew, Craig Smith & wife Diane; niece, Amy Partee & husband Alan; and numerous family and friends.

Raymond was a dedicated Fireman/EMS for Jefferson Twp for 40 plus years. He served in the US Army and earned many honors. Ray was a simple man who loved God, his family, and would go out of his way to lend a helping hand. He loved camping, fishing, hunting, racing, and police and fire radios.

Ray was a well respected man and was like by everyone he came in contact with. We will miss his odd sense of humor and the odd way he made you want to do for him.

“Raymond, you were one of a kind in a good way. We will miss you dearly,” Your loving family and dear friends.

Visitation will be held from 11:30am-12:30pm with funeral to begin at 12:30pm on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024 at Rogers Funeral Home New Lebanon. Interment with Military honors will follow at Bear Creek-Hillgrove Cemetery. www.RogersFuneralHomes.com
