Richard C. "Dick" Winkler

WINKLER, Richard C. "Dick" Age 84 of New Lebanon, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 21, 2012. Dick is preceded in death by his parents, Eli W. and Blanche M. Winkler; loving wife of 62 years, Juanita; granddaughter, Melissa Schaefer; brothers, Bob, Bill, and Jack Winkler; and sons-in-law, Joe Halpin and Butch Queen. He is survived by three daughters, Cindy Queen, Becky Halpin, and Kathy (Michael) Schaefer; son, Richard E. (Diana) Winkler; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and many more nieces, nephews, and friends. Dick was a 1945 Dixie High School graduate and after 35+ years of service, he retired from Inland Manufacturing. He also served the citizens of New Lebanon as the Chief of Police for 20 years, and was a member of the New Lebanon Brethren Church where he served on the Ministry of Trustees. A celebration of Dick's life will be held Monday, March 26, 2012 at The New Lebanon Brethren Church, 32 S. Church Street, New Lebanon, with Pastor Bill Walk officiating. Interment will follow at Preble Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 25, 2012 from 2 to 5PM at ROGERS' FUNERAL HOME, NEW LEBANON, and also at the church Monday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service. If desired, contributions may be given to The New Lebanon Brethren Church, in memory of Dick.
