ANDREWS, Robert E. Jr. “Bob”

Age 70, of New Lebanon, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on February 4, 1953 to his parents, Robert E. Andrews, Sr., and Jeanne F. Andrews who have both preceded him in death.

Bob is survived by his son, Eric Robert Juhani Andrews; and Eric’s mother, Jaana Andrews; his siblings, Cheryl (James) Reddick, Susan M. (Alan) Hounshell, Ronald (Donna) Andrews, Jack C. (Debra) Andrews, Jill C. (Brian) Andrews, and Daniel I. (Barbara) Andrews; and several nieces and nephews.

Bob served honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam and Cold War eras. After his discharge from the Navy, he worked as an avionics electrical technician at the Naval Air Rework Facility in San Diego. Bob had a BA in Applied Arts and Science with an emphasis in art, painting and printmaking. Bob loved to study astronomy, science, world history, classical guitar, music, and literature. He loved to travel and visited many countries around the globe. Bob will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 W. Third St., Dayton, Ohio 45428.
