Robert W. Garber

GARBER, Robert W. Age 84, of Butler Township, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, May 24, 2013. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ada and wife, Mary. Robert was a devoted father to his family which includes his children, Sharon G. Klumpp and her husband, Wm F. Jr, Robin E. Kain, Robert E. Garber, and Cheryl L. Garber. He was a very special grandfather to his two granddaughters, Melissa Klumpp and Allison (Zane) Nitzkorski. He also leaves behind his beloved cat, Ozzie. Robert attended Wentworth Military College, and retired as a real estate agent and auctioneer. He was a Free and Accepted Mason, Scottish Rites, Antioch Shrine, and a 50+ year member of the Masonic Lodge. He was an avid fisherman and was involved with numerous fishing clubs in the Dayton Area, and an amateur (Ham) radio operator using the call sign WD8KYR for many, many years. A Memorial Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, June 4 at 3PM at Twin Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton
