Robert Lewis Stoner

STONER, Robert Lewis Born on September 3, 1945. Son of Amza Earl Jr. and Esther Naomi (King) Stoner in Greenville, OH. after being diagnosed with cancer, Dad was called home on April 10th, 2019 at the age of 73 years, 7 months and 7 days. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Mae Flora on September 7, 1965. To this union were born 3 sons and 1 daughter. He was baptized on October 18th, 1975 at Bear Creek Old German Baptist Brethren Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn; his parents; brothers; Amza and David; and sister Margaret. He is survived by his children, James (Milissa), Thomas (Anita), Amy (Roland) Flora, and Jonathan (Catie); 30 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; step-mother; Joyce Stoner; sisters; Barbara, Blanche, Bonnie (Carl) Denlinger, Rebekah (John) Hutzel, brothers; Samuel, Donald (Amy), Steve (Debra); and step-sisters; Connie (Steve) Sharp and Rita (Kurt) Hufford; and numerous in-laws nieces and nephews. Dad was called to the Deacons Office on December 12, 1981 in which he served faithfully until his death. He was anointed on January 26th, 2019 before surgery, from which he received much comfort. Dad was employed in construction for the majority of his working years. He enjoyed gardening, nature, and trains. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 14th at Rogers’ Funeral Home, in New Lebanon from 3-5 and 6-8 PM. Funeral services will begin 10:00 AM on Monday at Bear Creek Old German Baptist Brethren Church, 171 S. Diamond Mill Rd., New Lebanon, OH with the Home Brethren officiating. Interment will follow at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens.
