Robert Lee Willis

WILLIS, Robert Lee ‘Dad’, ‘Bob’, ‘Slick’, ‘Pepa’, ‘Grandpa’, age 90, of Englewood, Ohio (formerly of West Alexandria) passed away Sunday, November 24th, 2019. Bob was preceded in death by parents Willard (Ruth) Willis, mother Sara Wogoman Childers, former wife Marilyn Bowser Willis, brother-in-law Jack Bowser, and special friends Grace Whirls and Gerri Ray. He is survived by sons Bill and wife Lisa, Steve and wife Brenda, Kent and wife Tracy Willis, grandchildren, Kasey and husband Kelly Lynch, Ryan and wife Jenn Willis, Sean Willis, Ashlee and husband John Brabant, five great-grandchildren, Mason, Regan, Riley, Joey, and Elizabeth, and lifelong friend Don Etter. Bob was a graduate of Dixie High School, New Lebanon, Ohio. He retired from NCR and GM, Bob spent his free time on the greens at NCR Country Club and was proud to have shot a hole in one on the 13th hole of the south course. He was the frequent champion of the “Willis Open” and could often be found at any driving range up until the week before he passed. He had many interests throughout his life. Bob obtained his pilot’s license as a member of the Dayton Pilot’s Club. Bob was a member of ATA and NCR trap shooting team and competed in many events including the Grand American. He was a generous, kind, loving, and gentle man with a keen sense of humor, Bob really enjoyed the company of his family. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at MVH for their extraordinary compassion. Private service will be held by the family.
