EITEL, Rolland Dean Floyd Age 78 of New Lebanon, Ohio passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022 at his home. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on October 25, 1943 to his parents, Floyd & Hattie (Schroeder) Eitel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Judy Eitel. Rolland is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Loretta (Nunn) Eitel; 3 children, Jeff (Teresa) Eitel, Jennifer Eitel, and Rolland (Charla) Eitel. Brothers, Kennie and Leroy (Traci) Eitel; 9 grandchildren, Jacob, Caleb, Jessica, Cody, Aaron, Ben, Eddie, Dean, and Ariel; and many more nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. Rolland's proudest accomplishment was his career as a firefighter. He started his career as a volunteer for Jefferson Twp. on July 4, 1966. His career lasted until May 30, 2010. During his 44-year career, he served the communities of Jefferson Twp., Dayton, New Lebanon, Trotwood, and Farmersville. He leaves behind a legacy of public service. A wife that worked beside him as a firefighter/EMT for Jefferson Twp., two sons that worked beside him on the New Lebanon Fire Dept., a daughter that works as an emergency room nurse, and two grandsons that currently work as firefighter/EMTs for New Lebanon. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at the First Baptist Church, 334 N. Elm St., Farmersville, Ohio 45325. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Thursday morning also at the church. There will also be a visitation from 12-1pm Friday at Lakes Funeral Home in McKee, KY. Graveside service will be Friday at 2:00pm at Nunn Cemetery also in McKee, KY. Interment will take place in Kentucky. More info to come. www.RogersFuneralHomes.com
