Jones, Roloph W “Jonesy” Age 90, formerly of Trotwood, passed away at home September 15, 2017. He was born in Coalfield, TN, on February 27, 1927. After high school he obtained his teaching certificate and taught school in his hometown of Coalfield until he was drafted into the Army to serve his country during the Occupation of Japan after WWII. He was a landscaper in the greater Dayton area for many years before semi-retiring in FL where he worked as a bulldozer operator. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be missed greatly. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Jones, parents, Charlie and Mae Jones, brothers, Randolph and Roger Jones, and sister Mabel Wilson. Survived by his wife, Virginia, and daughters and sons-in-law, Diana (Charlie) Bauer, Denise (Jeff) Croley, and Darlene Jones and Kim. Grandsons, Daniel and Dustin Humbarger Granddaughters, Jessica (Chris) Beach, and Heather Croley. Great grandchildren, Autumn, Jacob, and Caden Humbarger, Brenna, Nolan and Harrison Beach. Sisters, Gwendolyn Gaines and Jo Wilson. Step-children, Debbie King and Tony Owens. Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the Hospice staff who helped during the time of need. Visitation will be Wednesday September 20 from 5:30 to 8:00PM at ROGERS' FUNERAL HOME, Trotwood. The funeral service will begin at 11:00AM Thursday September 21 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Trotwood.
