70, of Dayton, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021. He was born March 30, 1950 to Dr. Robert and Bette (Parlette) Hedges in Dayton. Ron worked as a Parks Supervisor for the City of Dayton, prior to his retirement three years ago. He graduated Trotwood-Madison High School in 1969 and continued on to Barber College. Ron was a bass guitarist for a band in the 60’s called the 19th Dynasty. He continued playing bass guitar for various other bands in the Greater Dayton Area. Ron was an avid bass tournament fisherman, and loved to be on his boat. He is survived by his wife, Karen Eason; siblings, Karen (Rob) McGaughey, Doug (Phoebe) Hedges, David Hedges, Rev. Robert (Kathy) Hedges; step-daughters, Dawn (Bill) Ball, Laura Kimmel; grandchildren, Brittany Graham, Erin Graham, Kara Ward, Marlin Hedges, Roben Hedges, Mya Hedges, Micah Hedges, Christopher Hoesley, Samara Ball, Bailey (Gavin) Wilson, Gabriel Eason, Aiden Kimmel, Riley Kimmel, Daven Eason, Jordan Eason, Brayden Eason, Ashton Eason, Shayla Eason; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Madeleigh, and Lily; many nieces, nephews, and lots of loving extended family. Ron was preceded in death by his parents; children, Tim Hedges, Tony Brown, Heather Ward, Shawn Eason; and sister, Nancy Williams. Visitation for Ron will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Rogers Funeral Homes in New Lebanon with the funeral service to begin at 5:00 p.m. The funeral service will be streamed on the Rogers Funeral Homes Facebook Page, https://www.facebook.com/RogersFHinc/ Graveside services will be private at David’s Cemetery.
