Roy W. Myers

MYERS, Roy W. Age 90 of Moraine, OH, and descendant of Cades Cove, TN, passed away Wed. Feb. 11, 2015. He was born on July 22, 1924 in Marysville, TN to his parents, James & Rachel “Angeline” (Gregory) Myers. Roy was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Orville “Buck”, Harley, Artie, Thelma Faye, and Florence. He is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn (Yates) Myers, 3 sons, James “Gooch” (Bunnetta Sue) Myers, Rick Myers, and David (Dianne “Dixie”) Myers; 4 grandchildren, Tisha (John) Rodriguez, Melissa “Missy” (Matt) McClure, Rachel Madison, and Cody James; 1 great-grandchildren, Shiloh; and numerous other family members and friends, which certainly includes special friend, Ted Calvert. Roy was a decorated WWII Veteran. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, Feb. 17 at the Dayton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made the Dayton V.A.
