Ruth Evelyn Poling

POLING, Ruth Evelyn Age 86 of Dayton passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Gladys Poling; and sister in law, Barb Poling. She is survived by her brother, Kenneth Poling; nieces, Patti (Steve) Jeffers, Sharon (Keith) Idol, Cathy (David) Bott, and Kendra (Gary) Owens; and many great-nieces and nephews. Ruth graduated from Newark High School in 1949 and moved to Trotwood, Ohio shortly after. She was a long term member of Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church. Ruth was a caregiver to many seniors in the community, and a volunteer for Handy Van for many years. Visitation will be held from 10am – 12pm with funeral service to follow at 12:00 pm on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church, 525 N. Broadway St., Trotwood, Ohio 45426. Pastor Melvin Younger will be officiating. Interment will follow the service at Ellerton Cemetery. Many thanks to Friendship Village, and Vitas Hospice for their care and support.
