Ruth I. (Carman) Roy

ROY, Ruth I. (Carman) Age 96 of Trotwood, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017. She was born in New Carlisle, Ohio on April 28, 1921 to her parents, James & Bessie Carman. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glen; and 7 siblings. Ruth is survived by her sister, Lois Thornton; 2 daughters, Junior (Larry) Cruea, and Sandra Black; grandchildren, Tracey (Shawn) Screetch, Lisa Cruea, Jodi (Andy) Peyton, Lindsey Leon, Ashley Leon, Jordan Black, and Rory Black; great-grandchildren, Lauren Brown, Kiara (Rodnie) Davidson, Kaylin Patton, Jared (Sierra) Cruea, Alex Cruea, Jadyn Leon, Jayse Leon, Qassan Fields, Cassius Leon, and Lydia Peyton; great-great-grandchildren Dallas Cruea, and Kyrie Davidson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Ruth had a strong faith in Jesus and a wonderful sense of humor. Her quick wit and contagious laugh brought happiness to so many. Ruth was a member of Greenview Cavalry Tabernacle Church for over 40 years. She loved spending time with her family and will be missed by so many family members and friends who loved her. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Tuesday, Dec. 26th at Rogers Funeral Home in Trotwood. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, Dec 27th also at the funeral home. Pastor Tim Livingston officiating. Interment will follow at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
