Ruth E. Rufener

RUFENER, Ruth E. (Parr) Age 94, Dayton, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 under hospice care. Ruth is survived by her son, James “Jim” Rufener; nephews and their spouses; friends, Ken and Lee Amberg, Fred and Nancy Fry, Henry and Marilyn Combs, Judy Rogers, Shirley Phelps, and Linda Cochran; and a host of other friends at the Drexel Church of the Nazarene. She graduated from Leavenworth High School, Indiana, Class of 1940, and worked at Inland as a carbine inspector during WWII. Ruth was a member of the Drexel Church of the Nazarene where she taught Sunday School, was a primary church leader, board member, and treasurer. Visitation on Saturday, February 28 from 4PM to 6PM at ROGERS’ FUNERAL HOME, 324 W. Main St., New Lebanon with a Funeral Service beginning at 6PM. Ruth will then be taken to Dillman-Green Funeral Home, 121 Water St., Marengo, IN 47140 for a Visitation on Monday March 2 from 9AM to 11AM with a Funeral Service beginning at 11AM. Burial will follow at El Bethel Cemetery, Milltown, IN.
