Ruth (Brightbill) Smith

Smith, Ruth N. (Brightbill) Age 85, died unexpectedly, peacefully at home, Wednesday April 3, 2013. Born in Lebanon, PA, youngest daughter of the late John and Anna Brightbill. Proceeded in death by brother, Marlin Brightbill and sister, Kathryn Jehnsen. Survived by sister Julia Farringer of Denver, CO. Loving wife of Robert W. Smith, M.D. Mother of Pamela Heintz (Joseph), Keith Smith (Anna Faye), and Annette Sommer (Richard). Grandmother of 5 and great-grandmother of 5. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. A faithful member of the Trotwood Church of the Brethren, Ruth sang beautifully in church choirs from age 12 to present. She also played in the handbell choir and contributed to many church and community activities. Visitation Sat. April 6, 3-5 PM, at Rogers' Funeral Home, Trotwood. Funeral Service April 7, 2:30 PM, at Trotwood Church of the Brethren, 208 E. Main St., Trotwood with an hour of visitation at the church prior to the service. Interment at Cedar Hill Cemetary.
