Sandra K. (Moore) Lochtefeld

Sandra K. (Moore) Lochtefeld, 76, of New Lebanon, passed away Friday 15th November 2024

surrounded by family who dearly loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Nettie

Moore, her beloved son Zachary Lochtefeld, Victor and Anna Lochtefeld, Ralph Lochtefeld and Marceil

Lochtefeld. Sandra is survived by her loving husband of 52 years Paul Lochtefeld, daughter Nichole

Taylor (Russ), grandchildren Lauren, Grace and Ryan Taylor, her brother David Moore and his two

daughters Amanda and Stephanie, her sister Sherri Jones and her children Johnny and Kelly, Wilbert

(Anne) Lochtefeld, Roger (Edna) Lochtefeld, Alvin Lochtefeld, Janet (Richard) O’Neill and numerous

cousins, nieces and nephews. Sandra is a 1966 graduate of Jefferson High School. She had a strong passion

for nursing and taking care of others and inspired her oldest granddaughter to pursue a career as a

nurse.

Sandra was a devout Christian, loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She always placed the need

of others before herself, often working to exhaustion during her family gatherings while ensuring

everyone was fed and warm. She never called attention to herself or her hard work, preferring to do

her good deeds tirelessly without any recognition. Sandra loved fiercely and cherished her

grandchildren, welcoming them in at all hour of the day and night with genuine love and affection. All

who knew Sandra Lochtefeld loved and respected her, and better for having known her. She was a true

force of nature that will be dearly missed…… but we know she will be looking down on us from heaven.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday November 21st at 12:00 pm at Fairview Cemetery in West
