Sharon Kaye Wegley

Sharon Kaye Wegley, 82, of New Lebanon, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025.

Sharon was born on January 12, 1943, in Dayton, Ohio, to Robert and Miriam Guenther. She grew up in Brookville and graduated from Brookville High School in 1961.

She was a devoted and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found great joy in caring for others. Sharon loved spending time in her garden, especially tending to her flowers, which brought her much happiness. Her kindness, gentle spirit, and love for her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 64 years, Byron Wegley; her children, Tim Wegley, Kim and husband Thomas Weyer, Pam and husband Bryan Price, and Shelly Breidenbaugh; grandchildren Danielle and husband Joey Stomps, Samantha Price, and Stephanie Morgan; two step-grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of life service will begin at 1:00pm on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Rogers Funeral Home in New Lebanon, with visitation from 12:00–1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Trissel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
